Best Dry “Grain Free” Dog Foods I HIGHLY recommend feeding your dog and even your cats a Grain Free food.
In the wild your dog or cat’s diet would consist of primarily meat based proteins, and the occasional fruit and vegetable. Grain was consumed very little.
Grains have also been found to cause or irritate some pets allergies especially skin allergies (corn allergies are VERY common in dogs). Grain is also very hard to digest especially in aged pets.
Most low grade dogs foods that say their healthy.. are lying. Pay attention to the first ingredients listed in your dogs kibble… if it’s corn. Switch. You might say… BUT my dogs loves Purina!..yeh well our kids LOVE McDonalds but you most likely would not feed your kids that everyday… and every meal though..right? The dog food companies add fillers and sweeteners and flavor to their crappy kibble so that the dogs will eat it.. and like it but in fact it provides them very litter nourishment if any at all. Honestly.
Read my post on the BEST and WORST dog food brands for more info on what brands don’t make the cut.
Some of the benefits of feeding grain free (not limited to):
Shiny coat, decreased allergies, healthy skin, increased appetite in picky eaters, increased energy, ease in passing of stools, reduced stools and decrease in weight for obese dogs or cats.
